MiWorkplace - Editor for IBM i

New Release 1.10.0

I am happy to announce another release of MiWorkplace.

Many things have been added or fixed in this release. Many things under the hood needed to be done to get simple looking things working.

Some of those things is the further support of content assist and auto completion. You can now hover with the mouse over a locally declared variable and it will show you what type of variable it is. Same goes for constants. In both cases it will also show you the scope of the declaration (global or procedure). You also get the value displayed for the constant. This hover support is a feature which is not complete. Many things are still missing (like declarations from copybooks and parameter interface). But it is a good start and something we can build on.

Auto completion now also lists constants, variables and subroutines. But this is a **FREE RPG only feature.

ILEDocs support in MiWorkplace has been further extended to now also support **FREE RPG. Also the new project information can now also be uploaded via the ''Upload'' menu entry.

Make sure to use the latest release of version of ILEDocs as there has been some breaking changes regarding to the REST API.

I have uploaded a real world example of documentation done with ILEDocs and MiWorkplace, see the ArrayList project at the ILEDocs at RPG Next Gen.

You can find the new version and the full change log here in the download section on the MiWorkplace web site.

Happy coding!
